Schooling fish

I would like to have a school of fish in my 75 gallon tank...not right off the bat but eventually have a school. What are the best fish at doing this? I heard chromis's were a hit and miss but I saw anthias doing it and they are beautiful, but I would like to hear what you think

chromis do school but not close like fresh water fish do
firefish school also i think people have shoals of yellow tangs a blue tangs
i hear anthias can be kinda tricky to feed but would look good as a school

for your size tank i would say chromis would be the best

K, cause other than my clownfish, jawfish, and POSSIBLE tang these schooling fish would be my max

You could get 4 or 5 Chromis and they'd probably be great. I wouldn't recommend Anthias at all. Not a big enough tank and they're very hard to keep until you're much more experienced.

when getting the chromis, i was always told to buy an odd number; 3, 5, 7 ,

I was told the same thing, so I got 3. They schooled about 3 inches apart all the time till my puffer got a hold of them.
