Big question!?! Scooter has taken to swimming up and down one side of the tank wall. It's almost constant! WTH is he doing? It's the side where the return empties out and where the Mp10 is located. It's driving me nuts as he does this for hours :(

It could be just playing in the flow.
It could be seeing itself in the glass.

One of my fish, I cant remember which one it was, oh...it was a tomini tang. While it was in qt, it would swim around and around and around the powerhead. Not hours, but 20 minutes or so.
Whow knows what goes thru their minds.

Unfortunately, if it isn't just 'crazy' behavior, this is a sign that there is something stressing out the fish. It can be anything from just plain ol' captivity (it's not adjusting), tank size (not large enough), water quality, etc., etc.

Ok well maybe I exaggerated just a little as to how long he actually does this. More like half an hour intermittently :)

He's only doing it on one side of the tank, just a small area. He doesn't start this until later in the day. All parameters are excellent and stable. As for the tank not being big enough, he's not quit 2" and the tank is a 26g bow front. He's eating very well :)

My mandarin dragonett has done that a few times, freaked me out at first. Then I inspected the glass closer and saw he was eating a patch of pods that were on the glass. Now I think its kinda cute to see him hovering up and down like that :)

He's eating pods, Rods carnivore, Nutramar Ova his favorite and PE Mysis which I only feed sparingly. I use a small glass ashtray so the food doesn't blow around and he visits it all day. I add food 3x a day, in small quantities. He also pecks at the food on the SB :) I am extremely lucky with the way this fish eats and soooo very happy :)
