scratch glass

I have an old 120 gal. reef ready aga that has some scratches in the glass from sand getting caught between the glass and a magnet cleaner. it looks like someone took sandpaper to the glass there very fine scratches the tank doesn't leak it would probably make a really good sump. I did a search on google and found this scratch repair kit for glass has anybody here had any experience with this product or any thoughts on it, the kit cost $289 so repairing and $100 aquarium wouldn't be worth it but the 120aga aquarium goes for more than $450,

I think Paul Hamby (fragman) tried polishing out his glass cude tank and it was a lot of work for little gain. Just my recollection though. Glass is tough to fix scratches on.

Yea your right Reed and it didnt work. Actually it got some very fine scratches out but nothing to write home about

Thanks for the replies and input, I thought it was too good to be true. I guess I'll scratch! that idea.
