i need to know good way to remove scratches from a 300 gallon, i would like to do just about all of it there is no water in it so i want to get it as best i can now. has anyone used a powersander and the wet dry sandpaper? i got some free samples of scratch removal from tap plastics and they worked great but i just have aa very large area to do and wanted to speed it up. any ideas?? maybe a felt polisher for a orbital waxer that i use on my car??

home depot, get 2 bonnets , one coarse one fine. they hook up to any variable speed drill

and compound thats reddish orange, both products are made by ryobi

Dont over use the compound you can make holes in the tank and dont put too much on the bonnet a light amount only, slow and steady.

I just did my 120 gallon acrylic. I have an orbital sander that I used 400 grit to get out the deeper scratches and pits, change the discs often they fill up with acrylic, then I bought 3M buffing compound for fiberglass (marine store) and soft bonnets on the orbital, that takes it to a light haze, then I used acrylic polish for headlights etc from the auto store... Worked great and is really clear...

would the reddish orange compound be fore heavy or light scratches? as I have novus polish and for light scratches but I also have some heavy scratches to remove...
