Not a bad looking skimmer. I do have a pump that is rated at 700 gallons per hour, and it has the air intake on it. Thanks for the leg work Krish! I was also looking at the Berlin Turbo Classic. Dr Fosters and Smith have it for $199.00

James, have you checked Marine Depot yet? They give you an effieciency rating on a few skimmers as well as some prices.

Also, another skimmer I had considered, but changed my mind on partly because I didn't see it on Premium Aquatics site was the Precision Marine skimmer in the link below (which they may have or one of the sponsors). This one is similar to the one I showed you earlier, but with what it looks like, the air injection entering the cylinder seperate from the water input. It is priced within your range. Another reason I didn't try to get it either was because of the height (which I'm trying to remember if it would be your problem too. Anyhow, it might be cool to check out anyway.

Ok all. I will bug ya one more time. Through Dr Fosters adn Smith I can get a Berlin Turbo Classic with a pump included for $199.00 or I can get a Turbofloater 1000 Multi with a pump for $252.00. Here are the sites for both of them. Which in your expireince is the better skimmer. Quite honestly, the Berlin will fit my space constraints a little better.

Thanks for the input!

both of those skimmers are total crap, dont waste the money!!!
the 26' "wadu" body and "sedra 5000" pump combo i showed you on customaquatic will kick both of those skimmers butts up one side and down the other.
berlin skimmers just make me laugh, because they are a total joke. dont get suckered!!
at least the tubofloater is half way decent if you upgrade the pump, but why bother when you can spend the same money for a real skimmer.

also check out asmskimmer.com $243.00 for an A.S.M. G-3, it would eat those 2 skimmers for breakfast.

Skimerwhisperer you are right about the comparison. The ASM G-3 is a very good skimmer, however I don't think James has the space to fit one if I remeber correctly (I could be wrong though) That ASM G-3 is 25in tall and then you'd probably need a few more inches to remove and clean the collection cup.

If I go 24 inches tall, I will have 4 inches extra to remove the collection cup. Also I have a 10 gallon sump that is split in half because half is bio balls. The space I have on the sump side of the 10 gallon is 9 1/2 by 10 inches. I am sorta thinking about the G-2. Smaller footprint. Plus I have to make sure there is room for the return pump of the sump.

Its rated at 110 gallons. Should be good for my 90 gallon. Wish I had room for a bigger sump. As you can see by the photos, I am really limited for space.
