Hello Reef Frontier Members,

For some of us who love and nurture our fish, the idea of eating fish is not an option and, for those people, I really truly understand.

But,

For the rest of us who love and nurture our little critters but think eating fish is acceptable, I would like to offer you a very sweeeet deal. I work for a Seafood company and periodically varied types of Seafood is available at a decent price. Personally, I love fish. I love to watch my fish. I love to feed my fish..especially when the clowns take food back and share with their anemones..smile. Every shirt I own has fish on them. I even go to the darned Store and buy the Softsoap with the Clownfish on the front. But, I also really like to eat fish. Thanks to various people within Reef Frontiers, I have developed an addiction that will be lifelong. My wife is very certain that I have gone nutz and with all probability, she is 99.999 correct...smile.

Enough rambling....smile. If anyone is interested, I have 10 lb boxes of Mahi Mahi small fillet pieces where each piece is individually frozen and bulk boxed. I am having some smoked this weekend for personal use and will let you know how it turns out...smile. It is really good to grill, bake, beer batter..smile, teriyaki marinade...the possibilities are endless...smile. I am offering it to the Reef Frontier group here in the Seattle area for $20 a box which is $2.00 a pound. How could you go wrong...smile. I also have Halibut Collars/Belly sections for $2 a lb or a 50lb box for $80 although this is most popular with the asian and pacific islander cultures. My wife is asian and she makes great soups with the Halibut while I smoke the pieces and it has turned out great.

If you are interested in getting some seafood, let me know. I am also open to trades for saltwater supplies/livestock. Personally, I am really looking for RBTA's and would be totally open to trading seafood for RBTA's or GBTA's ... smile.

Ohhh yummy~~

Mahi Mahi Almondine

Rinse and wipe mahi mahi fillets dry. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix garlic second lemon juice with oil. Marinate mahi mahi for 30 minutes. Remove mahi mahi from marinade. Put pieces on a greased, heated grill, arranging so the mahi mahi fillets do not touch each other. Brush fish frequently with the marinade. Grill 4 or 5 minutes on each side. Cook until mahi mahi flakes easily. Top with almond topping. Saute 1/4 cup slivered almonds in 2 Tbsp butter until light, golden brown. Stir in minced parsley and a few drops of lemon juice. Spoon over grilled fish and serve immediately.

Mahi Mahi recipes....droooool....

Thanks Woodstock,

I gotta give your recipe a shot. I also like to cut into small pieces, wrap in bacon with various herbs/butter, wrap in aluminum foil and either add to B-Que or can be baked.

Hey, anyone else have some personal favorite recipes they would like to share...smile.

Hello Dan,

Are you from Alaska? I spent 15 years in Dutch Harbor.....got really spoiled there...sigh. Halibut Cheeks...most people don't know about those...smile...they are really goooood...smile. Let me know how you want to hook up and I will work it out. I live in Kent, WA but work in Redmond...pm me and we will work it out. I may be in Seattle this weekend. I don't know if anyone likes seafood anymore, but....

I have:

Silver Salmon Fillet sections (40lb case)
Yellowfin Tuna Steaks (40 lb case)
Mahi Mahi Fillet sections (10 lb case)
Sworkfish Steaks (10lb case)
Halibut Collars (50 lb case)

All of the above are for $2.00 a lb to Reef Frontier members. Normally I sell for $2.50 a pound but if you tell me you are a Reef Frontier person... $2.00 per pound. This is really good stuff and if interested, we would arrange to pick it up either around 4-5pm any day or work out some other arrangement. I live in Kent so am all over the place in the evenings...smile. Also, am always interested in trades for livestock like rbta's, gbta's, clams, shrimp, clean-up crew critters, etc...

Thanks for looking!!

See ya all at the Frag-fest...smile.
