I added a seahare about two weeks ago. It has eliminated all traces of green slime algae that was on a few rocks, but does not seem too interested in any GHA algae. It is still scouring the tank and producing waste, but I cannot see what it is eating. What else do they eat? If it's needs exceed what I can provide for it, I will pass it on to another reefer. I am going to put some nori on a rock it frequents and see if it likes that and hope that my pig tang doesn't inhale it all first.

You should not need to supplement its feeding at all, GHA is its primary food of choice and should start making a noticeable depletion of it real soon.

Cheers, Todd

It is now tearing through the GHA. It is also pretty tough. I forgot to place the guard cover back over my overflow after cleaning and the seahare took the durso waterslide down to the sump and spent the better part of the night in a filter sock. I put it back in the dt and within minutes it was back on the rocks and eating.
