You definitely should use a TDS meter to evaluate the quality of your water. I use a Spectrapure 7 Stage, and though the filters will change color as they become exhausted, TDS will tell the true tale on the quality of your effluent. Many of the RODI units out there can be bought for about the same price if you were to by the filters separately also.

I went ahead and acquire a RODI unit. It's slower than I imagined but I guess that's pretty normal.

you may need a buster pump link below... depending on the pressure you have in the house. I just bought a puratec from barrier has everything needed.

I suspect water pressure too. Unfortunately, I don't have a pressure gauge to confirm this. I am tempted to increase my household water pressure but that could be disastrous.

they sell them cheap at home depot or lowes I think I saw them there for like 5-10 bucks.

Doh! I was just a Lowes multiple times yesterday. Didn't think to look for a pressure gauge.

when you get ready to order filters just measure your unit most fit 10 inch filters but there are some odd ball ones out there if the unit has a label do a search for that website and on there should tell you what filters to get. I just bought all mine off of Bulk reef supply. great company to deal with also AWI air water ice another great company to deal with.
