In my opinion, they do not put out anywhere near gph wise as they say they do. I dont know how they last, but we put on a tank at LFS, doesnt do sh#%. Steve

i actually prefer my SEIO over my maxi-jets except for the size. i bought the SEIO 820 for my 60 gallon tank. it definitely puts out the flow and puts it out in a varied pattern unlike the maxi-jet which puts out a straight solid stream. you can really tell how varied the stream is on the SEIO when you get a turkey baster and inject air into it and watch it come out. i'm pleased with it. the only bad thing i've noticed is the hangers it comes with. it doesn't come with one to hang it from the side of an acrylic tank so you have to use suction cups.

You will not feel a comcentrated stream as in a power head. That is the upside to these Seio units,as well as their lower price. As far as longevity,Taam is now going to be using this design in all of their powerheads. They are not meant to be used on a timer. They are also coming out with a controller for the Seio's in the near future. The new controller will turn one Seio down to almost/but not off, while the other one is on full.

Maybe I am wrong, I just stuck my hand in front of it or maybe it is a bad one. I have aquaclear 802s with bioflow rotating devices. Puts out lots of current and lots of varibility. Steve
