just picked up 2 6 pod 72 led at 3w. from ocean's by design for 369$ + tax ea. and am doing a full review since im the first to acquire these beautiful lights. they are verry slick. they have 2 channels completely dim able separately. they also can be daisy chained. which is awesome. comes with hanging harness and gripple. with small wiring can be used with an adrino controller. these lights are 5w controllable. enjoy the pics

there u have it hope to find a par meter to see what im actually getting. so what do you all think any questions/concerns?

Gives the tank some awesome color.
I am not a fan of the cables and cords being visible. If it were me I would build a canopy to house the units.
Dont get me wrong, you did a wonderful job hanging the units. Looks as clean and simple as it can get.

Now as for those gawd awful looking powerheads............................................................................................

when im rich like you peppie ill buy some mp40's untill then my twin 3200gph powerheds are staying put

LOL
If I were as rich as you think I am, I would buy you some MP40s. Just so your little one would stop asking you " What kinda ugly fish is that up in the corner daddy?"

I must confess, I to have ugly powerheads in my tank. But they are not that BIG.

Just fyi to raise them up really high and slowly lower them. They are really powerful. I believe we measured them above 400 at 30 inches.

Nice looking lights, and good job hanging them from a difficult ceiling :) Are you getting the same color as in the pictures?

Weren't you building a DIY LED a while back? Why did you decide to go with these instead of the DIY?

They also offer a controller for them to do automatic sunrise/sunset for an extra cost. Still worth it though!
