no it depends on their diet, age and water...... I can get a pair of occs to spawn in about 1 year if I keep the temperature a 84 or so and feed them three times a day ( two times frozen food out of those three times)with a clay pot. hear is video you can enjoy seeing my clownfish spawn http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e157/clownfish152089/?action=view¤t=799a9933.pbr
