Wondering if I should

1. Get a pair of randals shrimp for my fuge, it's so empty!!!
Decidedly watching the cheato's grow is not interesting  . I assume that they will not disturb the pods that are thriving in there. The fuge's is equivalent to a 10g tank ( maybe a bit more) because of the baffles etc. sand is 3 inches deep. (Apprentice is that enough space?)

2. I really want a colony ( 3 or 4) sexy shrimp in my display tank ( 30 g tall).

I've read that they can be eaten by some fish/shrimp I have a cleaner(skunk) shrimp, very aggressive eater. 2 xO. Clowns, 2 xhigh-fins and tiger shrimp, 1 xHector's goby, 3 scarlet crabs.

I've also read that they can pester sensative corals. I have ( not sure if these are classified as "sensitive")-plate coral, blasto's, zoa's, candy cane, mushrooms, Ric's, briarium, goniopora and Monti cap, the only other types of corals that I might add are other Monti type corals, maybe an sps in the future. Oh I have a clam and would love to get an anenome( not sure about that though read alot against having one).

Would they be okay in my system?

thanks:)

Grate sand depth but beware the randals will eat pods but in a small amount

Don't know about these guys I like the looks of them but they are so small= food! for your skunk!I've read that they can be eaten by some fish/shrimp I have a cleaner(skunk) shrimp, very aggressive eater. 2 xO. Clowns, 2 xhigh-fins and tiger shrimp, 1 xHector's goby, 3 scarlet crabs.

I figured the randals would eat some, but most of mine live in my cheato's.
Would they put a dent in the pod population or just snack on them? ( I think my high fins are the only other fish I have that snack on them)

I'm worried about the skunk, I've read a few threads, alot of people that have sexy shrimp have skunks, but i'm just not sure. My skunk is a bit of a bully, he scares of my high fin's at feeding time and I think my peppermint starved to death due to his food obsessiveness ( was thinking of possibly putting him in my fuge, but then will he eat all my pods, he always seems hungry, actually starving)

So many shrimps, I just want them ALL.

If I put the skunk in the fuge I don't think I could/should get the Randal's shrimp( to much in such a small space).

I have MH lighting ( 150 w 14k pheonix) so I think my lighting is strong enough but I've read that they ( anemones) don't do well long term in mixed reef system ( not sure why though)

thanks Jeff for replying so fast :)

In my 75 gallon Tank I have 2 purple tipped Anemones in the sand bottom doing very well in a mixed reef. With you having a clown i would think it would keep the hi fins away from it. I think the 150 watt Halide would do very well for a Anemone if it was not deeper than 12" from the top water line. Hope this helps good luck Jeff.

I like your answering style!

alright so more shrimpies it is. YAY
My skunk goes on my hand already so i'll just feed him first in a different area.

I'll need to do more research before getting an anenome, I'll have to get one that likes sitting on the rocks for it to be within 12" of my light.

Anyone have Sexy shrimp and Skunk shrimp out there, can you keep them together successfully?

thanks
Yvonne
