hey all

this is more for my wifes piece of mind then anything. I just started my 55 gal up again but she decided that if we are going to do a tank we are going to do at tank and so its either a 220 or a 280 depending on what wall its going on.

I am interested in housing a shark in my tank but I don't know a lot about them. I know the basics from what I have read but I find that anyone with personal experience seems to give better info.

I know that with a 220 my options are rather limited unless I want to get a new one and get rid of it once every year or so (and for the right shark I don't mind doing that).

I know that I will need good circulation, a massive skimmer and amazing water levels but any info that you all have would be great in helping me and my wife get this off the ground.

thanks

The only guy here that sucessfully housed a shark (black tip) had a 750 or 1000 gallon tank. The shark is now at Aquarium Paradise and even that tank is starting to look a little small IMO. A 220 or 280 seems just massivley undersized. Maybe a young japanese shark though....

as I do more reading and talk to more people I am thinking the same thing. I just thought that I would ask about it

thanks for the help
