I need to take a picture but I have a normal Crocecea (sp) in a 45gal, 250w MH over it. The mantle looks fine, but the shell looks almost "burnt" and torn up closer to the edge. All parameters are great, I have SPS that are doing fine. Never seen this. Sound like anything to worry about?

I am horrible at taking photos but here is what I got.

top pic, can see mantle is normal, you can see a little of the deterioration on the left side.

pic with flash to see if I could clear up the side

pretty blurry but the best I could get. I could swear I was looking at the shell a couple weeks ago and was seeing new growth etc.. and would have noticed this. The "scalloped" edges are very much deteriorated in spots.

All I could think of is low CA, but mines typically between 400-450. Alk is steady 9.5 - 10
