Shops in Portland

I will be driving through Portland on my way back to Seattle Wednesday. Can anyone recommend a shop to visit?

I believe many people go crazy about Soutas. I really didn't like the customer service very much. They have great corals because of all there blue lights, everything stands out. Also, you will find since they do have a really nice selection that they are very stuck-up. If you can get through that, you should walk away with some very nice corals.

soutas has killer sps frags. i was able to negotiate quite a bit. the service was very good in my opinion. when it comes to sps frags i highly recommend them !

You better call them tomorrow, they have some pretty strange hours of operations. I think they are closed something like, mon, tues and wednes. Unless they have changed this wierd schedule. But, you better just call them and find out.

www.upscales.com Is fairly good.. Bad Customer Service 50% of the time..

www.soutassaltwater.com I havent had any probs with them... They have decent frags but seem a bit over priced...

www.advanced-aquarium.com Very awesome store.. Reasonable prices.. A+ Awesome Customer Service... Very friendly to talk to... Also has alot of nice SPS..

then There is Woody.. www.seahorse-nw.com which is decent for alot of Softies and LR.. Very reasonable prices.. Only bad thing is you have to catch your own fish as He is in a wheelchair and cannot.. Very nice guy and easy to deal with...

Then you have Waves Aquarium.. www.ecorals.tv Seem to be very knowledgable and one of the top 3 contenders in the US from my understanding... Fairly reasonable prices.. Only bought a few things in there and its been 50/50 with quality...

All in All the most Desired places to go that you will find on the Inet is Waves, Upscales, And Soutas.. Advanced Aquarium is just getting out there and just got a website up and running... I really like Advanced.. Its one of my Fav places to go to for colonies.. Most all his are very healthy and he has had them for a while...

Hope that gives you a good start LOL.. Its just about all the most popular places here in the Portland Area...

Went to waves Seahorse and upscale Waves had the best corals Seahorse got me to buy a little more live rock for my 20. Soultas wasn't open!! Look forward to more road trips. Thanks for the help and advice
