Hello...I am just about to fill my 60 cube and am wondering if it would be a good idea to silicone the bulkheads before I fill it up.

I've got a closed-loop set-up, powered by a Sequence Dart, with four 3/4" bulkheads. (and one 2" pump intake bulkhead)

If silicone is the way to go, are there any types to avoid?
Thank you very much...

...James

mojo had me silicone the bulkheads on my tank. I guess it was an added safety measure.

I have always used a small amount of silicone right next to the base of the bulkhead fitting where it goes through the glass.

WOW. 3 well-respected reefers with 13,500 posts worth of experience, and three different responses, lol.

Ok, here's an easy one...BB or DSB, lol. (just kidding)

Hand tightened is all the are designed to need, but I had 2 that wanted to drip a bit so I put som silicone on the outside to fix it:)
