more like disaster instead of experiment...lol the idea was to grow "grass" on the front bottom of the tank, which looked pretty cool if i kept it at about 1".
tons and tons of pods and mysids, but with that "saw blade" caluerpa that is nearly impossible to keep in check, then add the fuge w/ miracle mud and no skimmer and POOF you have a fresh water planted tank with corals...lol
in it's defense there wasnt any hair algae for almost 2 years, then i got slammed by bryopsis
and people ask me why im such a skimmer freak, like i never ran a fuge...lol
that whole tank was a fuge, i should have connected it to another tank for filtration.
