Im very intrested in those whom have been making there own reef rock like me . lets see some of them Idea's guys and gals here is my first rock ive made , ive let it dry for almost a week was nervous it was going to be super Dark in color but as it dry's its very light in color *yay me*
 
I've been making diy rock for about a month now. Here are a few pictures of my first batch. I'll try and get some pictures of the batch that's soaking as well.
 
My back wall in a 65G. I used white cement, aragonite sand and rock salt.

I meant to add that I used 4 parts oyster shell to 1 part type III portland cement. Mixed it till it was about like cottage cheese consistancy and put it in my mold. I let them set up overnight...at least 24 hours. Then take them out and wash the loose stuff off. Mine seem to get a tad bit harder after soaking in fresh water for a day or so but I don't know anything about concrete so maybe that's normal. The type III cement is available down the road at the local Lowe's in 90lb bags. It's gray but I like the way it turned out.
