shrimp mortality

Hi,
Any ideas of the longevity of a shrimp, especially L. debelius, I had one that died this night it was about 5 cm in lenght about 2 inches. I already bought it large, about 1.5 inches it was in my tank for 3-4 moths.
The fish did not harass it, nothing was bad with it, until I found it dead today.
I assume that it was pretty old so i was just wondering.

Are you sure it did not just molt???? Fooled me a couple of times...

hmm i don't have a clue.
i think it'd be hard because you wouldn't know how long was the shrimp in the store and how big was it when it was in the ocean when they caught it.
but shrimps i believe last about 2 years... not sure dood not sure.
I hope someone can tell you more .

hi, thanks krish75, Kensn and Spongebob lover.
It was not a molt, it had flesh inside of it, and the eyeballs were with the molt.
I think it was old ´cause the size of it was huge. (2 inches).

ahh sorry to hear about your shrimp .

My shrimp has been with me for about 7 months and it molts quite often, but like i said it might only last me about a year and a half and then that's it..... who knows?

aahhh que bien , yo primero vivi en San Antonio (por la parada del metro observatorio) pero luego vivi por Tlatelolco .
aahhh dichoso tu que puedes comer tacos, tortas, tamales con atole, ohhh gorditas de chicharron ..... mejor le paro por que de pensar se me antoja mas .
