just a few days ago all of a sudden my 2 big purple mushrooms both started to shrivel up and havnt gotten big again since then ive noticed they split there is 2-3 babies...do they do this when they split get all shriveled looking? cause they used to be both about 3" now they arent more then an inch and all crappy looking. any advice would be apriciated

thanks

No accounting for why they shrivel up now and then. Light is definitely a factor. Not much else changes in my tank.

My main "momma shroom" (one that wanders about tank dropping little ones) frequently shrivels up now and then also.

Wonder if it has something to do with reproduction process -

turns out that my test kit was giving me the wrong reading on PH heh...hope it doesnt kill them took my water to a local store and they tested it ph was at 7.8 so quite a bit low  definatly wouldnt recomend saltwater master liquid kits there crap. bought the same one they use and its much easier and way more accurate. :) ocean master from instant ocean real easy =)

thanks again for the feedback on this

how long are you lights on for a day?

when did you test it?

what kind of salt do you use

my attinics go on at 10am then at 12pm my mains come on till 7pm and then the attinics run till 9pm

ive dont multiple tests in the morning and at the end of the light cycle its not the alk tested that and thats perfect.

i use RO water for topoffs (buffer 5 gal jugs)
and for waterchanges i use natural water from my LFS
