Good morning ,Hope you and your reefs are well. My tank has been doing great but a couple months ago, my tang started acting weird. He was darting about and it became obvious that he had something on his gill. Probably a gill fluke. He kept trying to shake it, breathing rapidly and shooting forward and backward a hundred mph. with his gill plates open.He also stopped eating. This lasted about a week. There is no way I could catch him for a fwd. Well when he shook it, it was like night and day. He ate like a pig and was very calm with regular breathing. But not too long after, he developed a redness at the base of his dorsal fin. I believe it to be a virus but I forgot the name of it. I remember reading that it usually clears up on it's own. Well after 3 or 4 weeks, it did but where it was, the area has lost color in an area the size of a dime. I mean that the area is see through clear. I thought all was well but now after a few weeks, I see it again, roughly in about the same area. He has always fed and acted normally with this condition. Any suggestions? All the rest of my fish are very healthy.
