What's this tank going to be used for? Be sure to allow the silicone to cure fully before adding water.

Wow.....way to ask the question in such a way I'm almost thinking its gonna be a bad answer. Lol. It's my main display. And its been curing for 3 days now. Is it bad that the silicone is like that.

As I remember you just cut out the inside corners of the original silicone? You did not disassemble the tank? So all you did was redo the inside silicone bead around all the inside corners. You have not damaged the structural silicone seam. you should be good to go in another 3-4 days.
I have no idea why the bubbles popped up, maybe Mojo will chime in.

Yea would need to know if it was a full redo or just the inside cauking

Almost looks like you tried to smooth it out after it started to skin over and lumped up a little.

I would third this thought. Looks to me like you ran your finger over the caulk after it skinned.

You know what that's a good thought. Cause I did go back over it. Thanks guys, and it was just a resilicone. I didn't take the tank apart.

new silicone will not stick over old, it will fail. You must remove all the old and completely reseal to do it right and have peace of mind that you wont come home some day and find the water, fish and sand on the floor. If you live in an apartment above someone, thats another whole issue of using a repaired tank.

The entire reason I had to take the old silicone out of the inside of the tank was because someone told me that exact statement and in fact when removing my acrylic sheet from the bottom of my tank. The clear silicone I used most definitely stuck and bonded to the black silicone in the tank
