Skimmer for Nano Tank

Hi all,

I'm wanting to get a small skimmer for a 14G nano, preferably without the use of a sump ^.^

I don't live in the states so if any of you know a place that ships internationally that would be amazing!

Aquatic Life 115 Nano skimmer is a great little skimmer for nano tanks. You'd have to do a search for companies that sell/ship internationally though. Good Luck.

as far as which models,
i would look at the aquamaxx hob 1, cpr aeroforce, tunze 9002, octopus bh-100F (NOT the version with a crappy resun pump, the new version with OTP pump).

well, it definately works better than a backpak...
it consumes low watts, and produces over 200+ lph of air injection...
they use a popular freshwater hydor in-tank air/water mixing pump that would also come with colored LED's...
i had one and used to have a graph showing what each model pump would inject in lph of air, but lost it.

anyway, the key thing is good for what size tank? and what kind of bioload?

i'd call it good for up to a 50g med stocked tank, or a 30g heavily stocked/sps tank.

if u won it for free, i'd say u scored a good nano skimmer!

What do you think of the Atman HF-0600? Ive found one locally for $50($37 USD) The low price makes me wary of how good it actually works because the other nano skimmers Ive seen have been 120-130 USD

that is just a power filter with a surface skimmer, not protein skimmer...

the other thing.... are there reef clubs in new zealand?? you might be able to find a used skimmer for a good price.

Ah Okay, I just saw skimmer and went Ooooh! Good thing I checked here first!

I think there might be something, but not in Wellington. There isnt even a specialized fish shop in wellington and only one shop actually has more than one tank with marine fish
