I'm going to be getting a new skimmer for the tank in a few months and was leaning towards the bubble master. My tank is a 180 with about 50g in the sump. Would the BM200 be fine or would I be better off with the BM250. $300 bucks is kinda a big difference! If anyone has any other skimmer suggestions let me know. Thanks

We have the BM200 and it's an awesome skimmer, it's way to big for our system now (58 with about 30 in the sump) but we bought intending to upsize to a 150. I know Finn has the BM250 on his 240 maybe he has thoughts. We thought about the MSX but they seemed to be hard to get.

My vote would be for the BM also.

The MSX would be a good choise because of the price, if you can get them.
I waited for a couple months for a MSX 250, but gave up and bought the BM.
Other than the hit on the pocket book, I couldn't be happier with it.

because of the design of the collection cup, the adjustable wedge outlet, and removable bubbleplate i would say that the msx is even slightly better in design.
now dont get me wrong, ATI is the innovater of meshwheel tech, and their skimmer design is awesome, an all around great product, but considering that the msx 250 is $300 less than the ATI bm 250, i'd say save some cash...

If I can find it, I'm going to get the msx because of the price and I love it when things are easier to clean!

Mark, the collection cup looks to be the same on both skimmers. What do you mean when you say
the adjustable wedge outlet ?

Looking at the pictures ( from Marine Solutions web site), it looks like just a pvc stand pipe.

I agree if you can get a quality product and save some cash,,,:D:D:D

i gave you the link to where it is available in my first post, :)
and it let me put it in the "shopping cart", so i know they have them.

the wedge is hidden inside the outlet, all you do is twist the outlet one direction or another to adjust skimmer level.

and the collection cup actually seals into a female ring with a silicone gasket in it, like the ATB skimmers...

I saw that they are available right now, but my wife to be will kill me if I buy it before the wedding! So, after June I hope that they're still available :) Thanks for all your help!
