Skimmer Question?

Shinv, how long does it take your fish to eat their fill? I worked at a LFS and we recommend that they eat what they can consume in 2 minutes. Theoretically,that way you are only feeding your fish and corals, not the algaes. I can't remember, your system doesn't have any macro algae does it? That can help because the macro algaes will use the nutrients the nuisance algae need.

I have some Chaetomorpha in the back. I feed my fish with instant ocean gel food, so drop by drop. Almost 4 to 5 days with a small bag. Four fish, feed once per day.

The youtube video and InTank all reference the 9002. Where did the 9004 come from?

In that video, it called "the Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9004" or I get wrong video again?

That's great that you have chaeto. I didn't realize that instant ocean gel food was drop by drop. You probably don't have much waste that way. Yes, it seems like a new protein skimmer and slightly more water changes might be the best next course of action.

I have been told that the Algegone and the Phosban works pretty well. I use both but still have some algae growing on my rocks, but it is managable
