Slime coating

I have a crocea clam that I have had for about a months. Its seems to be doing great other than every so often it closes really quick to let the slime underneath float to the top. The slime floats because there are a bunch of bubbles attached to it. I have a bad microbubble problem that I am sure get underneat the mantle but I want to make sure that this is the problem, and also see if it is a big deal or not. I have checked for Pyramidellid snails at night and have not seen any.

microbubbles can cause troubles for clams. where are the bubbles comming from?

A sump with no bubble traps. I plan to actually fix it sometime this week it just will take a bit of maneuvering.
