I want to hook up a 10 gallon tank to my current system. That way I have 1 tank to maintain the water quality, not 2. I dont want to buy a huge overflow, but I dont know what my options are. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to plumb a 10 gallon tank into my current setup 60 gal w/ 20 gal sump?

Well do you have a sump?
Are you going to put the 10g as the same level as the main tank? or is it lower?
You need to draw a diagram or describe to us how you are going to set it up...
In my setup... my 10g tank is at the same level as my sump. So in this case i just put a u tube or a flex hose between them.... there is a small air hose line that are gravity feeding from main tank to the 10g tank... then 10g tank going to sump thru a U tube.
It is easier if you can drill a hole to your 10g tank then put a bulkhead so you dont have to use an overflow.

One thing you can do is use a powerhead to draw water from the main tank directly to the 10gallon tank. You'll need to have it drilled....and just have it return back to the main tank.
This could be used as a gravity fed refugium. There should be ways of hiding the plumbing if you are going to put it on the mantle of your fireplace.
This is just one possibility, though.
