Hello everyone, got a question!

Does anyone have a way to see your flow with the aid of something like die? I wonder If something like food die would work to see how your water is moving to help you tweak optimal flow?
Anyone ever tried or thought of this & does it work?

I was thinking the same thing once and I glued several pieces of plastic from a pom pom I got at a Seahawks game (go Hawks) to a piece of wire clothes hanger. I then held it in various places around my tank to see was going on. I worked well for me. if you don't have a pom pom then I'd use a plastic grocery store baggie cut into 1/4 inch strips. I hope this helps.

I connect an air pump with air line tubing and feed the bubbles to my return pump. It works really well.

Medicine dropper filled with methylene blue or malachite green works well. One drop and follow the color
