I hate ice!

I could see lights on houses less than 2 blocks away, but no...no power here. Power went out at 2 AM on Wednesday. Nothing like the dead silence of no pumps running to wake you up.

Well, power is back on this morning at 4 AM. Tank got down to 70 degrees and that was with a fire in the fireplace all day. Only had minimal wood and firelogs. Seems all is well, but I will have to wait until this evening after work to see.

I can't wait for spring when the biggest worry is which way the breese is blowing.

terrib

Power went in our place at about 6:00 am went back on 9:30 pm. :(

Had a hard time keeping the temp up to 77... inverter drained two batteries.... later hooked it up to my car.... still having problem with the temp...

went outside around 7:00 am to find out that my car was under a 20 foot tree that gave up because of ice... :( :bad-words:

took me whole day to remove the tree from my car... so I can hook the inverter.

what a day....

finally the power came back... but since my return pump is out because it drains power.... and my heater are all on the main tank.. guess what.... the water from the sump is too cold that when it came back from circulation, my water temp drop to 72.... :(

CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!

hope all is well to you too REED

Wow Cesar, you had more than your share of troubles :( I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Cesar, that sounds bad. My tank got down to 70 degrees and the cleaner shrimp was still swimming around and all others looked OK. I think mine will pull through. It was up to 75 when I left for work this morning.

On the good side, I saw more polyp extension than I have seen in a long time due to the lights out for more than 24 hours. Who woulda thought?? :)

Good luck on your recovery Cesar.

I'll post later after I get home and see how everything is.

Most is well...

It seems all of the fish and soft corals are fine. Some of my purple tip acros look like they may be starting to RTN, but I will have to wait and see. I hope not, they were really starting to branch out nicely. On the whole it looks like I will weather this storm alright.
