Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

Still tweaking here ... It seems when I turn off the new plugin feature (it helps run a couple of items on our main index page) things quicken up. When I turn it on, they slow down ... so apparently that is a connection to the slow down. Will get it right one of these times :)

If you need any help Chuck feel free to drop me a PM. :) Not sure why the plugins from the main page would have any effect on a slow down on a showthread.php page...

Thanks Scott

It was the thumbnail generator we have here on the front page. I figured out a way to do it without plugins for the time being. It now only slows the main index page a bit when that loads. Obviously non-efficient code pulling the images out of our galleries.

All other pages should load a bit quicker now.

I have one user having issues on a mac with the editing and upload attachment buttons not working. I haven't figured that problem out yet.

Haha, Chuck - but we figured out the problem is running it in Safari, but it works fine on Reefland. Scott- any thoughts here?

Chuck is the hero :D. ROFL! We know which Admin does the hard work around here! ;)

If anyone is running Safari and having trouble with formatting or attachments, empty the cache, close out safari, and try again.

Typically a hard refresh will do the trick without having to clear the cache, not sure what it is for Safari but most is CTRL & F5.

Chuck one thing I've noticed earlier is when you quote something and click the "quote tabs" you have to erase the extras they put there like this is what I get whenever i click the quote icon once... "" I hope that shows it

Nope it didn't work(LOL) Just click the quote icon and you will see what I mean...Sorry

I guess you just have to click it once and paste your quote in between...Just thought of that

If you want to quote from someone's post, just use the quote button that is in their post in the bottom right hand corner (next to the edit button) When you click that button, the message text appears between the quote tags.

Like this :D
