Solar Tubes for Light

Has anyone used Solar Tubes for Light in the State? Just wondering how well it worked and if you ever had a par reading on them.

I used to post on another forum and there was a gentlemen from washington who had a reef with the solar tubes I believe 3 of them on a 500g display. I will see if I can find him on that forum again and contact him and get you some information. But from what I remember he was using MH + T5HO + Solar Tubes and the videos he had of his reef was mindblowing.

I'm not familiar with this form of lighting, but every time I've seen it mentioned it's been on a HUGE tank. I'd be interested to learn more as well.

Ive seen a few people use them on RC, but everyone using them were in California or Florida.
