Looks good Sabella. with the refugium pump suppling water to the refuge and then down to the tank, and then your standard sump return, make sure you have enough drin for the tank to handle the total water volume entering the tank. Prior we talked about two 1 1/2 drains is that the same plan.

Initially I think we were thinking 2 x 1 1/2 drains with one going to the refugium (originally in the basement) and the other to the sump.

Is it still best to stick with 1 1/2 or should these be increased to say 2"

Sabella all you have to do is to make sure the sump retur plus the refugium return equal to the drain hole. So a 1 1/2 inch drain line will do around 1500gph with a little room. 2 inch about 2000.
