i have several different zoas. and the all seem to be doing the same thing. they have all grown long stalks/stems (not sure of the right term). should they be growing like that?

They may be looking for more light or it may just be the type of zoas/pylops. I have one or two that have long stalks right next to ones that don't. My guess would be the type of zoa's.

i thought they didn't need a lot of light. i have 265 watts of power compacts over 50 gallons. would they go back to normal if i got more light?

I have both long and short stemmed zoas in my tank, and it appears the one variety (peanut butter cups), no matter where it is in the tank, has long stems. So I think it could be just the type of zoas.

I also have long stem and short stem zoa's
But it also could be the light thing too?
Put them higher up in the tank if possible for a few weeks and see.
