I've been working on my plans for a new large tank to go in our soon to be built house. The tank will be made of concrete with glazing panels in the upper part of the water column. I'm trying to find a source of low-iron laminated glass. I'm incline to go with the laminated glass because of the large volume of water in the middle of the house. I would rather not wake up swimming one morning.
Finding a supplier seems to be a trick as I am in a rural area in a rural state (Vermont) and there don't seem to be any local suppliers of glass other than auto glass or windows. This is a bit of a specialty item. I think I need to go further afield, probably to CT or MA. Maybe further.
Does anyone know of suppliers of such beasts that I might be in their area? Ideally they would have experience with aquarium glazing although I may not get to be that picky.
On a related note, I would love to hear from people on their experiences with low-iron glass (e.g., Starphire, WhiteGlass, Diamante, etc). Also, I would love to hear people's experiences with laminated glass. I have not worked with either before.
Many thanks,
