Sps Frags

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

I've got one that is fine, one that I am hoping a very small frag will pull through. The rest are skeletons.

Yep, I think we had a little too much shock for the corals. They were shipped, then moved, then bagged and transported again, then put into our tanks. All in a matter of a week I think. It's a little much for a frag to make it through.

Next time I think I will bring a powerhead, heater and a cooler to keep them in for the overnight, then pack them with the styrofoam float like someone suggested. We'll see.

I will be traveling to Seattle area pretty soon. There are soccer games planned up there. I will get together with Rick and see If we can work something out. The Fun thing about this hobby is the sharing. I think Rico wants to hear about how part of his tank went to other people. Thats a bragging right to people. I hope to do that someday too. Reed can you work with me on this please? My Sister in Laws both live in Lynnwood.

Ed, you know you don't even have to ask about m eworking with you my freind. Just let me know what I can do, and time permitting (and the wife, of course) I'm there for ya!

Just to clarify, I'm not complaining at all about the frags not making it. My interest lies in how I can prevent this in the future. I was thrilled with the stuff I came away with and consider any losses just bad luck.

PM me with what you're thinking Ed, and we'll make it happen.

-Reed
