Hi I need a little SPS help. First if you can Id the yellow one. So here is what is going on. The yellow one is starting to get some white spots and the brown one turned brown. I do not have a lot of sps but you can see some of the other seem to be ok.

They are in a 180 gallon tank
calcium 450
alk 8
ph 7.8
rest is 0

I have a mag return pump and two 3500 powerheads for flow
thank you

The yellow one is a scrolling turbinaria. They like a less lighting. Placement towards the bottom to the middle of the tank and medium to high flow.

The brown one I believe may need a little more light to color up. What kind of lighting are you using?

thank you. my lighting is leds. I have 24 3w leds. i am putting new lights on soon. i just moved the scrolling turbinaria to the top to get more light. i will now move him down. my lights are on for 10 hours a day

IMO you need more light. 24 3 watt led's is about enough to cover one foot of your six foot tank. That is definately why the acropora is brown.

You might want to leave the other one down a bit for a little while to acclimate it to the LED's. Unless of course they came from a tank with the same lighting. Was it colored up before and turned brown?
