You should start with a relatively cheap frag after 2-3 months, as long as your tanks readings are what they should be. If that frag stands the test of time, then go from there. It is really just trial and error as everyone's tank is different but you can prevent more errors by researching first.


This is only my opinion and what has worked for me
 
Pocillopora and montipora are pretty good for beginners. Having an LPS like frogspawn or trumpet coral would be a good start, as they tend to be an indicator for changes in water quality and can tolerate a wider array of lighting intensity and color.
 
yes I agree some monti's for sure to start.. they are pretty solid..
I could toss you a free frag of Acro to try out if you like..
 
ya that would be awesome i already have a frogspawn in there and thanks everyone for the advice
