Start Chopping

I got a large pink millie frag last week. I noticed a few days ago it has some tissue recession around the base. I don't know if it happened while I've had it or did it while shipped or where it happened. I've been keeping an eye on it, but I want to be prepared for the worst. At what point do you give up on a frag and start chopping it up. I have tested my parameters and they are spot on for a SPS tank. All my other acros are doing fine with decent growth and good polyp extension.

I pull the frag from the tank and put a ring of superglue around/over the receding area including a small amount of the live tissue.
