That is great news Britany, now between the two (Mono's & Berghia's) maybe those Aiptasia are really done for.

Cheers, Todd

Here is hoping. I am still just blown away. I was thinking it would be months if not even years before things liked this good again. Unbelievable. Thanks guys

Hi all,
New to Reef Frontiers, but been in this hobby for many years. I have an Aptasia issue and believe Berghia nudis would help. If you can help, please contact me. I'm too new to send pm's or emails yet. Thanks,

Andy

I have wanted to ask this question for a few months now but the opportunity had not yet arose. The first time I had ever heard of an electrical devide you put in water to kill pests was a member of this forum, I believe it was Trido but it might have been adam or someone else, I forget. They talked about it quite a bit for a few weeks, and then it seemed to die off. Next thing I know I am seeing Electric Aiptasia killers in the Marine Depot Catalog! To me it appeared that a member here invented a device for killing aips and some unscrupulous manufacturer stole the idea, mass produced it and turned a profit. I would like to think the inventor got some compensation but my pessimistic nature tells me they probably got zilch and the big corp is reaping the profit. Of course, my impression of events could be completely erroneous, and if it, please forgive me, I've been drinking a little too much skimate lately.

Majano Wand - Mojano & Aiptasia Zapper | TB Aquatics

The Aiptasia zapper works great, it would take you a while to play catch up and it is always an on going battle as for every one you see there are many more that you don't. With the Aiptasia zapper it just becomes part of your maintenance. They seem to be in short demand right now.

I had a bunch of aiptasia in my tank also - got a few Nudis from Crazyfish and they are meeting their maker in a big way - those little critters do an absolutely amazing job! I had a bunch of peps and they didn't do squat... I must have other goodies for them to eat, because they were ignoring the aiptasias entirely.

+ a bunch on the Berghias

Thanks guys. I will look into it. I'm mostly concerned about the quantity required for my tank. Display is 240g and system is 500g, but I'm really only in need of treating the display.

ive had success with the peppermint shrimp! Just get a group of em and they do a good job...idk about 40! LOL maybe in a 500g tank :pI only got like 5-10 and divided em in my two DTs...now ive got one in my smaller tank. That tank is still aptasia free. Ive now done tank swaps and added and taken, aptasia is now seen in one tank w/o the pepps... :(
