Any one got an idea on how to get rid of shrooms? My Supermans have gone crazy spreading like wildfire!

slice them off the rocks with a scalpel/razor and give them away. Use kalk paste on anything left behind on the rock.

I used a syringe with hydrochloric acid in it. I only did about 5 or 6 shrooms at a time, and you have to protect anything directly above the injection site but it makes quick work of them when zapped that way.
I used a piece of acrylic to deflect any "upstream" acid from getting to the corals above. The fish all hide anyway when I do this so they aren't affected.
I used a 10ml syringe and only used one full syringe of acid at a time, allowing for the buffers to keep the pH stable.

Just take a chisel and chip off a bit of the rock under them. Take them to you LFS and trade for something nice

I don't think I'll be using any acid, thanks. As for using a chisel, the rock cannot be removed from the tank. It's all base rock
I'm thinking maybe some Joes Juice directly into the mouths may work?

i also have to remove a patch of gsp i was gonna try and peel but may try the chisel method?

lol you are lucky, not many ppl have the chance to grow shrooms like you, spread like wildfire... Shrooms are weird sometimes they spread like that sometimes they don't... I guess they like your water chemistry. I'd say goodjob one growing...you could frag it and sell/give away :hippie:

Cut off the tops and then burn the rest off with and aptasia burner as seen in my signature or you can buy the mojano wand for six times the price. A much safer method than anything else.
