I am setting up a 180 gallon tank that will have a medium bio load, about 13 fish. I have been looking at the ReefOctopus xp2000 cone, but it's only rated for a 180 gallons. I am torn between using the newer cone skimmer vs. something like a ReefOctopus SRO3000, rated for 300 gallons. Any opinions welcome, I've been looking at these two for almost 2 months now and just can't seem to decide. Thanks a bunch, Matt.

I'm not familar with those skimmers personally but I can say that IME the bigger the skimmer the better. You can always put your skimmer on a timer if it seems to be to powerful for your bio load. Don't skimp on this piece of equipment ;) And I'm not saying you are but just wanted to express my feelings towards the importance of a big skimmer.
