Hi Everyone,
A few questions on my new Maxima's. I recently bought two Maxima's through the Internet. They both arrived great, shipped well and acclimated fine. Put them in our 72 under Tek 6bulb T-5 fixture about halfway up in a plastic dish. This evening (6th day we have had them)it looked like some spider webbing was on them. Not a lot but enough to be noticeable. I took them out in the dish and gave them a good scrub (they are both about 2 to 2 1/2 inches. The webbing had some spots in it but did not look like eggs or anything. I put some sand in the bottom of the dish this time and put them back in the same spot in the tank. One of them has a hard feather duster tube on its shell but have not seen it come out at all. Should this be removed???
We have three other clams in the tank which do fine. A Dersa, Squammie and a Crocea. Never seen this web like substance on any of the other three..
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
