Suggestions for T-5 lights on a 36X36X18 tank

Energy bill was monstrous i'm hoping t-5s are more efficient anyone have ideas for a 36X36X18 tank. A type of fixture or links of a good brand or advise TY!

i would like to keep sps.

36" 6 bulb Tek 5 fixture. It rocks!! It will allow you to keep anything in that tank. You could move up to an ATI fixture, which is even better.

oh man those ATI one look sick. thats alot of bones to shell out though lol.

For that wide of a tank I would go with 8 bulb retro system to get the best coverage.

how much more energy would i save estimate? a single 250 electronic icap ballast is pretty efficient no?

Did you add/change any return pump or skimmer pump? Those are being run the 24 hrs a day......They can add up.... how many hrs do you have your 250W MH on?

8 hrs. return pump is a little giant 3 instead of an iwaki 20. and skimmer is a reef octopus NW
