I recently picked a new sump that was originally a wet/dry filter and it has no baffles. My old sump has cracks all over the bottom of it. IM not sure how many or where or how to put the baffles in. such as how tall how far apart and what to use to glue em in. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

It does have baffles in it. That's what those things holding the eggcrate are. Will this hold a skimmer? Any macro's going in it? If you plan on pulling out the baffles in it right now, which is pretty much what you'll have to do if you plan on putting a skimmer in it unless it's pretty small, you'll want to use a product called Weldon. Weldon 3 is like water and I wouldn't suggest you use it unless you've welded acrylic before. You can use either 4,16 or 40. As far as how tall the baffles should be depends on you skimmer depth and how much water the sump needs to hold when the pumps are off.

im going to be useing a hang on back style skimmer. its a big dual bak pak skimmer. and yes im going to fill it with chaeto. thinking about removing the egg crate thing and adding a baffle or two to the bottom to help eliminate air bubble into the return area and to keep the chaeto from gettin onto the return area. these are its measurements 32" L x 12" D x 16" H
