Ok so its only a 10 gallon sump. But this is what I have drawn out so far. My ? Is How am I going to prevent micro bubbles from getting to my return pump.

This little 4x4 section will be for media or a 200 Micron filter sock

This is just my opinion but I would combine the live rock/macro chamber with the skimmer chamber to make a 'fuge'. Place your skimmer nearest where your water enters the sump by your sock filter. Put baffles between your sock filter chamber to the 'fuge' in the center, then baffle from the fuge to your return pump chamber.

I think you can reduce the return pump chamber a bit to give you more room in the middle (fuge) and inlet chambers. Your inlet chamber should be just large enough for your skimmer to fit along with the filter sock.

again... just my opinion :)

Just realized my post count was 666 before I posted this!

Here is a rough idea... I screwed up a few times.... the black line is nothing. Also I didn't make the skimmer set to its normal height. Anyway...

Red lines are baffle outlines
Blue Lines are water level height
And so on.

Again, its not to scale or a dimension but that is where your opinion and knowledge comes into play. Have fun with it and keep us updated,

Agreed with everything said above, the reason you want your skimmer nearest to, or in the first chamber is because all your pods and such are growing in the next few chambers, if you have your skimmer in the middle or last you are pulling alot of those guys out before they even reach the MT and not just because 07focusST said so, lol. Im sure there may be more reasons but that is my limited understand.
