Folks,
So this is the what I have investigated for the SWAP Meet Location:
1. Picinic Sheltors:
Redmond has picnic sheltors available which are rented in 2 options:
a. Half Day (9-2 or 4-dusk) - Price $90
a. Full Day (9-2 or 4-dusk) - Price $90
The one I was looking @ is called Farrel McWhirter Park. 19545 Redmond Road which is the only one available for that weekend. I think it's too out of the way for the people
Seattle has no picnic sheltosrs available
2. 989 Apartment's Cabana:
They charge $65 ($200 refundable deposit) but I checked it out today and it's huge with enough place for all of us (can support 40+ people in my view). It has a lounge, kitchen, pool table and outdoor patio too. Really nice place with enough tables and chairs for atleast 1/2 the people. It also has the free underground parking available. People can carry their pumps, lights, powerheads to this place easily and have the full setup in their car/truck parked in the garage.
It's right off Bellevue downtown exit off I-405 (around 8th street).
Only thing is we'll have to clean up the place afterwards but we can do it.
3. Steven was going to look for some church parking lot.
My recommendation is #2 right now given that Microsoft is out of the equation. What do you guys think? Any other place we can think of...
