I just looked at the tank (behind me) and this decorator crab is swimming at the surface. No he is not dead. How cool is that?
He can do that because he covered himself with bubble algae, which is filled with air.
This is what he looks like hanging on to something like he is supposed to do. I have seen him floating around from coral to coral and wonder if he knew this would happen if he covered himself in bubble algae
