I just want your people's opinion about this before I drop some cash:

I have a 50g tank (36x15x20) and I want to do 4 x 39 watt T-5 overdrivin with an Icecap 660 ballast. Is this enough like to keep clams and sps towards the top of my tank? I think 6 bulbs would be too wide for my tank. Let me know what you think!

IMO, yes. I'd keep them in the top 12".

Best,
Ilham

Over driven on standard 55 I kept SPS anywhere , However I ran 6 bulbs with 54 watt. Clams I would keep no lower then 14 inches. Or just buy 2 more bulbs.

Reefdaddy1, what does overdriving do to the bulbs useful lifespan? How about extra heat? How exactly do you wire it to overdrive? Thanks in advance!
