Tail Spot Blenny
(Ecsenius stigmatura)
Are the carnivors, omnivors or mostly herbivours, what should this species be feed, I keep getting mixed answers.

Thanks
Yvonne

I have a trio of tailspot blennies and I frequently see them eating the film off the glass. The also come out and happily eat everything from flakes, spectrum pellets and all types of frozen foods. They are great little fish!

Agreed with the "great little fish" :D Mine will eat anything.

Good luck

Technically, I believe that Ecsenius stigmatura is a herbivore. It needs live rock to feed itself (naturally). It eats a considerable amount of vegetation in the wild and also gets some pods along with the deal.

It should be fed a herbivore diet along with Cyclopeze and saltwater mysis(d)s. Avoid land plants, land products, and freshwater products.

Thanks
So I take it a planted display/fuge with live rock be an acceptable home for one( 20g of space in the fuge area)? If I was to feed nori/seaweed along with the cycloeeze/mysids and some suppliments it should be well.
