I feel for ya, it's our worst fear, it can happen to anyone. Did your heater stick on, or was it just hot? I'm from CT. still chilly in this neck of the woods. A month ago, I bought a controller for my heater. I've heard that they can stick on and cook the tank. Good luck and don't give up.

Just got back from Canada to read this and couldn't believe it. Must be real frustrating! Sorry about the losses. On a better note the 1000g is looking great!
